Here's my CCR! This was very fun to plan!

As I sat down to finish my project, I felt excited to wrap things up. Editing had been tough at times, but I was determined to get it right. Working on the last part, I struggled to make sure everything flowed smoothly, especially with the music. Editing the end was tricky. I had to be careful not to make it feel abrupt or disconnected. One big challenge was blending the music without it sounding rough or sudden. I had to make sure each part flowed into the next smoothly, making the ending feel just right.      Even though it was tough, I kept at it. I tried different ways of editing, testing each until I found what worked best. It took a lot of patience, but slowly, I started seeing progress. Finally, after many tries, I got it. Watching the final version, I felt proud of what I'd accomplished. It showed how hard work pays off. Going through this process taught me a lot. I learned how to solve problems and keep going even when things get tough. These ...

Filming with Savannah and Maya was so much fun, so after our shoot, the three of us decided to go back to Tantou's house and do homework together. While everyone was busy with homework, I focused on editing my video. Even though I used Adobe software for my last project, I didn't feel confident enough to use it all on my own this time. Instead, I chose a different software that I'm more familiar with. We went to a small food place in Las Olas after finishing our editing and homework, and guess what? We saw a famous person there!      It was a nice surprise and made our outing even more exciting. We quietly observed the celebrity from a distance and couldn't believe our luck. After a while, we plucked up the courage to approach them and even got a photo together. It was a memorable moment that added to the fun of our day.      Back at Tantou's house, we chatted about the celebrity encounter and shared stories about our day. It was nice to...

On our second day of filming, Tantou and I asked two of our friends to help out. Savannah and Maya came over and pitched in with filming and setting up. We all chatted, did some homework, and hung out before we started shooting. We shared jokes and talked about old times while we got everything ready. Our friends stuck around the whole time, giving us tips and lending a hand when we needed it. Having them there made the day more fun and less stressful. They were very helpful, and honestly made the filming experience a lot more fun and enjoyable. Them being there made it a bit less stressful honestly. When we wrapped up filming, we said bye and made plans to hang out again soon. It was a great day with good friends.

Tantou and I got together at my place to begin filming my project. We planned to tackle her project next time. Before Tantou arrived, I spent time creating the props needed for the opening scene. It was a bit challenging to make the board for the scene, but I managed to do it using thread and glue. We filmed about half of the scene before Tantou had to head home. Although we didn't complete it, I'm eager to finish filming the rest. Working on the project with Tantou was enjoyable, and I'm excited to see how it turns out. We made sure to take breaks and have snacks while filming. The atmosphere was fun and relaxed. Tantou offered some helpful suggestions for improving the scene. We took our time to get each shot just right. Despite the interruptions, we made good progress. I'm grateful to have Tantou's support and assistance on this project. It's inspiring to see our ideas come to life on camera. We discussed our plans for the next filming session. I'm a...

When I went to print the photos I needed for the board, I found out I was out of ink. It was frustrating because I had just been to the store to buy the materials, and now it was too late to go back. The photos ended up printing all messed up and blurry. I decided I would buy more ink for the printer tomorrow. Don't worry, though! You'll still get to see the finished product when the project is released. It's just a small setback, but I'm determined to make it work. Getting more ink will solve the problem, and then everything will be back on track. I can't wait to show you how the board turned out once it's all put together. Despite this hiccup, I'm still excited to share my project with you. It's been a labor of love, and I'm proud of what I've accomplished so far. Thank you for your patience and understanding as I work through these last-minute issues. Tomorrow is a new day, and I'll make sure to get everything sorted out. Stay tuned fo...

The most important thing I need to make for my opening sequence is the board. I want to have a corkboard with red strings connecting different photos, like in movies when characters are planning something. I went to the store and bought a corkboard, red string, and thumbtacks. Luckily, the materials didn't cost too much. When I got home, I started putting together the corkboard. First, I figured out where I wanted to place each photo. Tomorrow, I'll print the photos and attach them to the corkboard. I'm excited to see how the finished prop will look. This prop is really important because it sets the mood for my opening sequence. It gives a hint about what the story is going to be about. Making the board is a careful process. I have to think about where each photo will go and how the strings will connect them. Even though it's a lot of work, I'm happy about the possibilities this prop brings. It's a way to show the story I want to tell in my film. As I work ...

I haven't actually planned what I wanted to do with music. I was so focused on every aspect of my opening sequence that I completely looked over what music I wanted to play in the background. If I had to pick a song, I would probably like to use Emotions by Brenda Lee. I think this is a good song to use as it doesn't have so many lyrics that it distracts you from what'll be going on in the scene, but it also has just enough lyrics to give a mood and aura to the scene. Hopefully everything goes well!      I'll need to make sure the music fits the mood of the scene. It's important for setting the tone. I'll listen to the song a few times to see how it matches with what I've planned. If it doesn't work, I'll look for another song that does. I want the music to enhance the emotions the scene evokes. Maybe I'll even try different songs to see which one feels right. It's all about finding the perfect match. Once I've decided on the music...

T antou and I are excited to help each other with our projects. Though we're not working together on one, we're still lending support. To make our opening sequences better than our music video, we're planning and preparing more carefully this time. We want them to be great. I visited her house to plan out the media equipment we'll need. We want to be ready for filming our scenes. We discussed what cameras and lights to use, making sure we understand how they work. Every detail matters. We brainstormed ideas to make our sequences stand out. We're eager to try new things. With our plans in place, we're feeling more and more excited about the projects. We can't wait to get started. We know we'll need to work hard, but we're up for the challenge. Together, we'll make something amazing. Supporting each other makes the process even more fun. We're a great team. By working together, we're confident we can make our projects even better than b...

FONT - The font I will be using will probably be a simple font such as " Helvetica " or " Montserrat ". I don't want to use something too techie-looking or fancy since this takes place in a somewhat casual and modern setting. COLOR - I might just do a simple white with some black outline to give contrast and have the titles easily seen. I may or may not end up doing something a little more exciting and less generic, but I'll play around with how it looks as I edit the opening sequence. TITLE - Since the story is meant to be about jealousy, I was thinking of calling it something like "Green" symbolizing an envious "Green-eyed monster" in folktales. If this ends up being the case, I'll probably add some more green into the titles and story to convey this subtly. I don't want to call it something edgy like "envy" or "vengeance."  That sounds pretty corny to me. Titles may enter and exit the screen to a series o...

BATHROOM: (Isa is grabbing things out of the cabinet and walking out.) ROOM: (Isa walks into her room and gets a phone call as she does her makeup.) ISA Hey what's up? MIA You busy right now? ISA Yeah I'm hanging out with Rachel in a bit. MIA Damn you guys are hanging out without me? ISA No it's nothing personal, we just kind of planned this last minute. MIA Okay fine, where are you guys going though? Maybe I could drive over. ISA You know, Rachel's not doing that well recently. I think it's better if just me and her hangout for now so I can try to talk some sense into her. You know how things are. MIA Ohhhh, okay fair. ISA Sorry. MIA No girl don't worry about it, I totally get it. ISA Yeah well I'll call you back after, let you know how everything goes. MIA Okay, keep me updated. ISA Bye! (Isa continues her makeup and goes to open the door as the scene ends.)

LOCATIONS: The only location this opening scene will have is in my house, specifically my room and bathroom. The sequence is pretty concise with not a lot of scenery changes. PARTICIPANTS: Actors: Tantou - Isa Kylie - Mia (voice) Filming: Kylie Editing: Kylie Directing: Kylie HEALTH: There aren't any dangerous scenes in the sequence, or any props that would be a threat to our safety on set. The most harmful thing we'll be using is a pair of scissors. To ensure Tantou's safety, she'll be using safety scissors carefully to cut pieces of thread with caution. SCHEDULE: 01/18 I'm going to get all the things needed to film ready such as props. 01/21 - 01/22  We're going to film all the shots we need. 01/30 - 02/15 I will edit the opening sequence, making sure all the clips are smooth and everything is in order. I'm not exactly sure how long this will take exactly, hopefully shorter than I expect.

What titles are displayed during the opening sequence?     The first thing to pop up is New Line Cinema, which I'm guessing is the company or studio that made the film. After that comes Joel Schumacher who I'm assuming is the director. Names listed after that are what I'm assuming to be the main actors featured in the film. After that, the titles shown are casting, music, associate producer, costume designer, editor, production designer, cinematographer, co-producers, executive producer, producer, and who the movie was written by.    What images are prioritized in the opening sequence?     A typewriter seems to be writing various dates, historical events, and math during the opening sequence. Blood also appears to be frequent in the opening sequence, however I'm not exactly sure what this means or points to since I haven't watched the movie yet myself.   How does the film establish a feeling of the genre?     I absolutely ...

What titles are displayed during the opening sequence?     The movie title is the very first thing displayed in the opening sequence. After that comes the director, screenplay, what the films based on, producers, executive producers, co-producers, cinematographer, production designer, editor, and then all the names of the main actors featured.   What images are prioritized in the opening sequence?     Regular civilians seem to be prioritized the most in the opening sequence, showing random people from a variety of ages. Children, adults, elders, the list goes on. These could be main characters, side characters, or just people implied to be from the town the movie takes place in.   How does the film establish a feeling of the genre?     In the opening sequence, lot's of photos of various people are displayed. These photos appear to be normal photos taken of families or children through a camera, however some appear to be slightly blurre...

What titles are displayed during the opening sequence?     Some titles displayed in the opening sequence are the costume designer, visual effects supervisor, story, screenplay, producers, executive producers, cinematographer, editor, music, co-producer. After that, names of actors are displayed throughout the opening sequence. Once the main actors have been displayed, it shows things such as "In Association With:" and the company it was produced by.   What images are prioritized in the opening sequence?     Things that appear the most and seem to be prioritized in this opening sequence are microscopic images, mainly of bugs and eyelashes. From the legs of ants to human eyelashes, each image shown is a microscopic view of some biological factor.   How does the film establish a feeling of the genre?     With the confusing imagine and eerie music, the opening sequence leaves the viewer puzzled. You aren't exactly sure what it is that yo...

I've chosen this website for my title research due to its extensive choices of scenes. It's a treasure trove of movie title sequences, with so many different ones to choose from. The variety available is smaller than I expected but still with many good options, presenting an exciting challenge in choosing which of the sequences to write about. With 107 feature film title sequences on the side, each one promises a unique cinematic experience. Delving into sequences from different genres adds a layer to my research, allowing me to explore the artistry and creativity across a spectrum. This platform has become my go-to hub for watching and reviewing these sequences for my project, providing an experience for my title research.

"What conventions of the genre that you chose to base your final task on that this movie have?"               One thing from Midsommar that I would love to add to my final project is the irony of the whole movie. To be more specific, from the bright colors of nature to the warm, welcoming feeling the people or rural Sweden express, Midsommar is not originally portrayed as a movie that would be as disturbing and gruesome as it is. The acting of the people seem happy, however throughout the film the lighting and acting change to a more distressed expression of the plot.  "What conventions of the genre did the movie have that you liked?"             Part of thriller is using shots to portray the characters' thoughts. In Midsommar, a variety of shots zooming in and out of characters is used. Each shot is used mostly in silence or alongside music. The shots are still, only focusing on the expressions of charact...

"What conventions of the genre that you chose to base your final task on that this movie have?"               I chose to use the amount of close-ups that're found in this film. Since psychological thrillers are based on the characters and their mental states, emotion is very important. The close-ups that show the character's expression is something I'd love to add as a part of my final project.  "What conventions of the genre did the movie have that you liked?"              I Fractured, some things I love about the movie that can be found in other thriller films is the suspenseful music that happens just before something big or aggressive. Whether it's an eerie background sound or the noise of a scratching violin, the music that happens as tension  builds up makes the audience anticipate what'll happen next. Some other things I liked in the movie was the amount of silence there was. I feel li...
